Fort Collins rests is nestled in the front range of the Rocky Mountains, so I selected tough plants that could weather the changeable climate of the region. The plants were planted in a small ornamental bed near raised vegetable/herb beds. Chinese Silver Grass (Miscanthus sinensis), Mexican Feathergrass (Nasella tenuissimia), Sweet Autumn Clematis (Clematis terniflora), Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Russian Sage (Salvia yangii), and Catmint (Calamintha nepeta subsp. nepeta) all make a beautiful, semi-drought tolerant planting.
